Studio Maverik is a community-focused and inclusive pop-up art studio in Magandjin Brisbane. We facilitate both public + private pop-up Brisbane life drawing classes, creative event collaborations, art markets and other creative industry events. All people are welcome and encouraged to attend our events ~ come to chat, draw and connect in a vibrant & welcoming space.
Studio Maverik is run by two local artists, Frances & Rhianna. We believe that art is for all, and it brings us together. Est 2021.

STILL LIFE โถ Studio Maverik curates still-life installations using found & made objects, creating a sensory platter to draw from. Installations are crafted to evoke the essence of a theme or story, creating an immersive space to observe and create within. LIFE DRAWING โถ Studio Maverik cultivates gently social, encouraging and atmospheric Brisbane life drawing sessions that all people can attend + enjoy. ART EVENTS โถ We curate various one-off art events, such as exhibitions + markets, so keep an eye out.
FORM 2026 โถ Studio Maverik is curating a showcase of artwork exploring the human figure, โFORMโ. We encourage artists of all experience levels to apply, from first-time exhibitors through to more established artists. The exhibition will be held at Side Gallery in Red Hill on 10-11 April 2026.
โถ The purpose of this show is to bring together local artists for a community-minded exhibition, offering a platform for emerging to established artists alike to exhibit recent artwork surrounding this complex and enduring theme. Curated by Studio Maverik, we look forward to bringing together a diverse group of artists to showcase their work to the public, meet one another and enjoy an opening evening full of art + conversation.

We love collaborating with like-minded brands, studios & businesses on creative events. We curate tailored pop-up events in collaboration with partners, such as still-life installations inspired by a product/theme, or events designed to activate a space and bring energy to the room.
